Launched at a price of between Rs 7.53 lakh to Rs 12.47 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Hyundai Venue has been given a new design, styling, and many new features. But have the new features made a big difference? We took a test drive of the new Hyundai Venue in Hyderabad to find out. So let us tell you about our experience with this car.
Design And Style
The new Hyundai Venue has received the most changes and you can say at a glance that it is indeed a very fresh change. What makes it sincerely fascinating is that the new diagram modifications are definitely simple, whilst the silhouette stays the same. However, the company has made a huge impact and the Hyundai Venue looks very different compared to the old model.
The new Hyundai Venue gets a refreshed front fascia and this is largely due to the new grille. It’s a comprehensive grille called the ‘Parametric Jewel Grill’, which looks great, especially if you’re a person who likes very little bling. This grille gets dark chrome inserts and it looks quite fancy.
It still gets the split headlamp feature. However, there are some changes in this case as well. The upper part of the split headlamp has now become thicker and longer, resulting in the addition of grille elements.It also gets an LED projector and reflector headlamps to handle the low and high beams respectively.
Old turbine-style diamond-cut alloy wheels have now been replaced with premium multi-spoke alloy wheels. These enhance the overall design and styling of the car and make the new Hyundai Venue a little bigger than it actually is.
It looks a lot more premium than it actually is. The bumper has additionally been redesigned and facets horizontal strains comparable to the front bumper. A shark fin antenna is provided at the top and the roof rail completes the package.

Apart from this, many features have been taken from the old model in the new 2022 Hyundai Venue. It gets automatic climate control, a single-pan sunroof, wireless phone charging, and many more. However, there are a few new aspects that clearly make a difference.
First and foremost is the powered driver’s seat. This feature is much better and makes life easier. The buttons to control the powered seat are on the side and they take some effort to operate. The new Hyundai Venue additionally receives a computerized air purifier and ambient lighting.
In terms of features, the car gets support from Alexa and Google Assistance devices. Now you can give commands to your Hyundai Venue. Hyundai has also updated the BlueLink software and now offers over 60 connected features.
Comfort, Practicality, And Boot Space
The Hyundai Venue, despite being relatively small in size, is one of the most practical cars from Hyundai in India. The seats are very comfortable and the powered seat makes things very comfortable for the driver.
The air conditioning is powerful and cools the cabin down very quickly. The comfort bit has been made very clear at the rear with the new seat. The rear seat receives a first-in-segment 2-step recline feature. This increases the comfort of the rear passengers by a huge margin. The seats are supportive and have plenty of headroom, leg room, and knee room.
Hyundai Venue also performs well in terms of practicality. The glovebox up front is quite deep and has a cooling feature as well. You also get wireless smartphone charging. The door pockets are also quite deep and this captures the practical aspect of the new Hyundai Venue.

Engine Performance And Driving Impressions
However, the engine and gearbox options remain the same as the outgoing model and as a result, the performance remains the same.
The car we tested was equipped with a 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine. We have experienced both the IMT and DCT gearboxes and they are as attractive to drive as ever. It has always been a lively engine and is still fun to drive. There is hardly any turbo lag and the performance is available in the rev range.
However, this makes the engine a bit noisy at high speeds and this is an inherent feature of the engine as it is a three-cylinder unit. The DCT gearbox is fast and shifts gears seamlessly. Using the new paddle shifters becomes even easier.
It is a bit tough but absorbs bumps very well. However, the high-speed thuds are very clear. The new suspension setup has also helped in controlling body roll. This suspension setup is actually pretty likable.
The steering wheel is comfortable to grip and gives a premium feel. It is lightweight and easy to maneuver at low speeds, while it also weighs well at high speeds. It provides a decent amount of feedback to the driver and it is felt even more while cornering.
The brakes are tremendous and there is no room for any complaints. The starting byte is great and so progress is continuous. Overall, the new Hyundai Venue offers a great driving experience.
